I am always amused by the younger generation, myself being 41 yo, that they always compare a 250 cc two stroke against a 450 cc four stroke. If a comparison was truly made, 250 vs 250, there would be no comparison. The two stroke would dominate on every point. The problem is that they believe that, because of the "rules", that a fair comparison is the biased one.

Seriously... YZ250 is about 44% more powerful than a YZ250F. 49hp to 34hp for the same year.

I got an all stock 01 yz 125 that will run with a stock 2010 yz 250f all day long... not seeing your point - 9 years older and it can still compete.

With the modern bikes out I know that a 250 four stroke will overpower a 250 2 stroke. I have both and I'm selling my 2 stroke because there is no reason when I have a XC 250F and it runs better.

I'm 16 and you obviously need to throw your leg over a 2010 bike.
