A quick read thru the substantial information presented in your articles makes clear that the issue of 2-strokes vs 4-strokes is, and has always been, profit. Simply put, there is greater profit for the manufacturers when they sell us a 4-stroke. Parts for these highly stressed engines are not cheap.

I ride and race 2-strokes as do my 2 sons. After several years of refuting their repeated assertions of the benefits of 4-strokes, I finally convinced them that, for most people whether they ride, race, or both, the 2-stroke is the way to go.
