Honda Crf 150r - To Buy or Not?

by Andy
(Nelson, N.Z)

I'm thinking about buying my 13 year old son a Honda Crf 150r but I don't know much about them. I was told they are a good bike for learner to intermediate riders as they aren't too aggressive like the two stroke 85cc bikes are. He's a good rider (has basically ridden farm bikes), and is confident, and rides mostly on our farm but wants to get onto some MX tracks at some stage.

I know Honda have a name for themselves as building durable engines so I presume these particular dirt bike models carry that label with them also. The less maintenance I have to get done on it (and pay for) the better!

Cheers,
Andy
