Is An IT 490 Too Powerful?

How hard is an IT490 for a mature newbie to ride? Is it a case of easy on the throttle and easy(ish) to ride? Or are IT490's simply too insane to ride and too much for a sensible rider. My usual ride is a mint(ish) IT175.

I've never thrown my legs over one of those beasts. They've certainly got a bit of pulling power but the powerband is wider than say a modern 2 banger motocrosser, so it's probably a little more forgiving. Keep in mind there's a bit of weight there to hold up so you'd want to be relatively strong to handle the tighter situations.

If anyone's actually owned or ridden an IT490 please let us know.
