KDX 200 - Great Trail Bike

I have a 1995 KDX 200. For those of you who wonder what the D means, the KDX is a trail bike. My bike in particular has been great overall. The suspension is what I would call a plush ride but it also has enough strength to keep from bottoming out on jumps if you so desire to catch some sweet air. It has an easy powerband that comes on slow and strong, making it easier to ride in slippery, wet places.

Right now mine is making a growling noise which I think has something to do with my crank bearing. I doubt this happens on most KDX's because I did run mine with low oil for a bit.

KDX's are one of the best trail bikes you can buy! They are for the most part, strong and dependable, just what you want a bike to be on the trail.

1994 kdx 200 Question
by: yooper86

I have a 94 kdx and love it. It has smooth power but I am looking to beef up the bike without boring. Anyone have any ideas?

- Exhaust systems (e.g FMF pipes and mufflers) definitely help increase power but you'll probably want to change the jetting on your carby to match the new set up. Also, simply changing the size of your sprockets can improve low down 'grunt' or increase top end speeds depending on the amount of teeth. This is a quick, cheap and easy way of changing the power / speed of your dirt bike.
