Less Oil And More Power
I'm from Roseau Minnesota, home of Polaris Industries. My dad and brother have both worked at the factory. Just an hour north we have Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls Minnesota. Snowmobiling is more of a religion here and it's the same with the two-stroke motor, it has a loyal following.. and for a reason!
FOUR STROKE SNOWCATS.. I don't even like saying those three words together - they are garbage. They may have potential as new-age trail sleds.. but so do two-strokes!
Switching it up a bit - I remember in 06 I had a 96 600 xcr s/p polaris triple two-stroke, my buddy had a brand new switchback 600 cleanfire, polaris (also two-stroke). One day we rode hard together all day and most of the night, it was about minus 15 during the day and dropped to minus 35 at night. Very cold but very fun. Anyway I used about three quarts of two-stroke oil polaris brand Blue. My buddy used less than a quart of VES polaris two stroke oil which is just the same as blue except for powervalves. 1/3 the oil though - I couldn't believe it!
I had a moment of understanding.. MAN TWO-STROKES ARE GETTING CLEAN
. He also only used about 2/3 the gas I did. Obviously his sled was faster being ten years newer but also so much cleaner!
