Parts for 1985 IT 250

Of the Yamaha IT 250 series, which models have parts that are compatible with the 1985 version?

I just bought an IT 250. The title says that it is an 85 model, but when I try to look up parts for it only the IT 200 appears for 1985.

I read on one site that the bike stayed the same from 83-85, is that true?

Also, I am having problems finding the yellow fork boots. Why do I need fork boots? My 1989 RM didn't use them.

What is the best site to buy parts for this bike other than Ebay?
