Quieter Two Strokes

by Alec
(Scotland)

Hi, very interesting. I have always preferred the 2 stroke engine. I really like the idea of a 175cc bike, for my weight and ability it would be good even using current technology.

I would really like the next generation of 2 strokes to be much quieter though. I have been looking at the info on the KTM Freeride electric bike mainly because I could go more places and not upset so many people. Perhaps electric is the future.

Alec

- Perhaps it is.. though the adrenalin pumping sound of a dirt bike is a big part of the fun for me personally. Flying around on a track on something that sounds like my Mother's sewing machine just wouldn't be the same.

If it does go electric - I'm going to record the sound of a real dirt bike and play it in my ipod under my helmet while I ride ;)

Hayden -

A True Silencer
by: Anonymous

I know a friend of a Russian inventor who has a design for a two stroke silencer that is completely silent, only a woosh sound comes out. The Russian is looking for a buyer of his design. You can email me at a57ngel@yahoo.com if you can help him find a buyer for his technology.
