Two's & Four's Are Equal To Me

The newer 4 strokes (mostly crf250r or kx250f) are a beast on the moto course. However the 2's are beasts also. 4'S might actually be a better moto bike considering you can control the speed and control opposed to the kick and horsepower difference of a 2 with powerband.
Say you're going up a jump and right before you're at the top, you hit the powerband right before your front wheel leaves the ramp. This is only good for one thing, a backflip! And I wouldn't suggest doing that until you're as good as Travis Pastrana or Chad Reed or James Stewart.
A 2 is probably a better open-cross bike. Speed is what you're looking for there. Don't take me wrong I am praising 2's and 4's here and I love em both but I've raced my buddy a few times. He has a crf 150 and I (used to) have a klx 125. It was crazy how close we were, but since he had the bigger bike, he won. So my other buddy has a kx 85. There is a big difference there too. If it wasn't for a powerband I would've beaten him.
But where I'm going is a 2 will win in a speed contest right off the line or out of the gates, but if you're looking for a motocross bike it's a fuel injected 4 no doubt. It seems crazy but it's true. My cousin races and he uses a crf250r and the stories he tells me about the 150 2's that race him are crazy. Almost all of em didn't end to good for the 150's. Broken legs, arms, one broke his neck and the worst feeling ever, getting the wind knocked outta you.
Hitting the powerband is a scary thing on the top of the off ramp. What sums it up is I love em both. My bike recommendations are Honda and Kawasaki which are no doubt the best bikes.
Hoped I helped.
