North bank has a beginner style motocross track, tabletops, berms and two small doubles, bout 3m gaps.

Accessed from north side of old Waimakariri bridge then head bout 2km up the shingle river track, you can't miss it. It also has a trials area, kids loops etc. It has just been done up by the local council but is a sand based track so it requires ongoing work due to rutting out often.

If you head further upstream from the motocross track you enter the 4wd area which then continues to 4wd roads all the way to the gorge. South bank riding is entered off of Old West Melton road among other roads, but this entrance also takes you past the club track which used to offer good size doubles etc, however they've been filled in and are now tabletop jumps.

The south bank riding area is sand based trails, generally single tracks through forest sections and open. This riding area runs from the Mcleans Island Horse Club all the way up to Intake Road where it once again turns to 4wd tracks.
