What Happens When You Put A Two Stroke Rider On A Four Stroke

I love motocross, and I have noticed the sport take on a different look and feel since the two strokes have been fazed out of Pro racing.

For those of you that ride or race 2 strokes you know it takes more than a fast wrist to make a 2-stroke sing. How simple is it to approach a triple out of a corner with a 20' run and blip the throttle on a 4 stroke and over jump it - more often than not. Now take that same jump on a 2-stroke and let me know the outcome.

Tracks have completely changed since the crusade of the 4 stroke. I have ridden both (mainly 2 strokes all my life). Me personally, I think a 4 stroke rider is a much lazier person than when he/she was on a 2-stroke.

I am all about the amount of work it takes to make that bike go fast (meaning a 2 stroke). Don't get me wrong I am not saying the guys on the 4 strokes aren't fast, they are plenty fast!

You put a guy that has been riding a 4 stroke his whole life and you put him on a 2 stroke. Watch those lap times increase.. alot! Now you put a 2 stroke guy on a 4-stroke and it may take him a couple laps to get used to the engine braking and going into a corner in 3rd gear and not even using the clutch... You now have the makings of a fast guy!
