When To Check The Valve Clearances On My Yzf 250?

by Rob
(UK)

I bought a second hand Yzf 250 '08 model about 3 months ago. The previous owner said it had done 75 hours (when I bought it) and had a new piston in at 60. I've done about 30 hours on it since I got it and it seems to be running sweet. When should I get the valve clearances checked and how do I know when they need adjusting?

I love Yamaha's by the way! The bike goes hard.

Thanks.

Rob
